- Your phone must be capable of running Java applications written to the MIDP 1.0 Specification. It will also run on phones that accept apps written to the MIDP 2.0 Specification.
- It must also have a Web browser from which it is possible to download Java Applications according to the MIDP 1.0 OTA recommendation.
- The phone must allow a Java Application to connect to the internet.
The easiest way to determine the suitability of your phone is to try to download and run the Test Application. It checks that the your phone is setup to satisfy the above 3 requirements.
Your phone maybe capable of satisfying the 3 above requirements, but it might not be configured to do so.
If you have trouble downloading or running the Test Application, it might be because your phone is not configured correctly.
You can usually configure your phone by visiting your network providers website, where there will be a facility to have the settings sent to your phone.
Sometimes when the settings have been received there can still be issues with connectivity. For Example, you maybe able to use the Web Browser, put our Test Application cannot connect to our Web Site.
